Fall Ball Begins

2015

Fall league begins Saturday, August 29, with the first game at 9 AM.  Last day of games will be Saturday, October 10.

Back by popular demand is the Kona Ice van–September 5th and 26th.  25% of proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Miracle League.  Stay tuned!

And we’re tentatively planning a special day over at Principal Park, Sunday, September 27, 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM.  The Wounded Warriors nation-wide baseball team is coming to town for the weekend, with a big two-day tournament at Principal Park.  And our players are invited to be a part of this.  Watch for more details.

Our end-of-the season trophy/pizza party will be Saturday, October 17.  Details TBD.

2014

Our August 30 fall opener was a somber day for our Kiwanis members as we remembered long-time Kiwanis member and KML board member, Ron Heggen, who died August 6.  Ron was our official/faithful scorekeeper, master gardener, and flag bearer.  We dedicated our new American flag pole to him, placed his engraved paver in our memory garden, and hung his picture by our scorekerper’s chair.  Then we were off on a full day of games.  Turned out to be a glorious day–weathe- wise and player-wise.

September 6 was another great Saturday of games and a special fall treat–free Dilly Bars for all of our players.  Thanks to metro area Dairy Queens for supplying these great treats!

September 13 we welcome the KONA ICE VAN.  Brrrrrrrr…hope Mother Nature isn’t too chilly to enjoy these fun treats!

Come on down to the ball park!  Admission is free.  And so is the parking.  Enjoy great ball park food at our concession stand.
