Looking for volunteer opportunities in Des Moines?  We’ll have LOTS when spring ball 2024 resumes.  Opening Day is second Saturday in May, or May 11th.

It will soon be time to “unwinterize” our ball park!  Yes, it takes volunteers to clean everything up and get us ready for spring play!  Join us Saturday, April 27th, 8:30 – 11:30 AM.  Bring work gloves.  We’ll be sprucing up the ballpark, doing a bit of landscaping/mulching/planting flowers, cleaning the restrooms and concession areas.  Breakfast pizza, donuts, and coffee furnished.  Here’s the link to sign up soon:

Become a Coach or Assistant Coach

Interested in becoming a Coach or Assistant Coach for the Kiwanis Miracle League this spring?  It’s time to sign up!  All will need to register for 2024–seasoned coaches as well as new coaches.

We are seeking three or four more ASSISTANT COACHES to enable us to have at least three assistant coaches on each of our 16 regular teams.

In a normal season, if you can commit to at least 50% of our eight Saturdays, you’re a good prospect.  And, don’t worry, you don’t have to know a lot about baseball.  What you DO need to have is a desire and passion to work with kids!  A clear background check (at our expense) is required of all coaches and assistant coaches.  We’d love to include you on our coach roster!  Please contact us if you are  have questions.
