We continue to celebrate TEN YEARS of bringing smiles to the faces of
- hundreds of kids with special needs;
- thousands of buddies who not only assist our players but also learn that our special kids just want to have fun, be on a team, and hit the ball; and
- hundreds of family members, friends, and caregivers who get a brief bit of respite each game day, enjoying a hot dog and watching their player get to play America’s favorite sport.
Along with celebrating ten years, our board of directors determined that several improvements were necessary and several upgrades/enhancements would be good for our ballpark. To build for our future and another successful decade, we embarked on a $450,000 capital improvement campaign the first of 2018 to include:
- PHASE I: Replace our playing field surface (accomplished)
- PHASE II: Cover our spectator bleachers with cantilevered shade,
replace Kiwanis Memory Garden pergola, and several miscellaneous projects (partially accomplished) - PHASE III: Upgrade our digital scoreboard to LED video and install live streaming capabilities; new security system. And enhance the entire experience for players and families with exterior landscaping.
